All 11 parts of each MK Whistle are crafted, assembled and voiced by hand in the workshop in Glasgow, Scotland.

MK Whistles are responsive and louder than most other Low whistles. The tapered windway creates a slightly higher back pressure allowing the whistles to be louder without requiring more air. This also contributes to creating a greater tonal range to each note hence allowing a musician to incorporate more dynamic in their playing.

All MK Whistles are fitted with a brass tuning slide which is made extremely accurately for a smooth fit.

The low end has a obtuse, warm and reedy wooden flute-like tone while the upper registers have a sweeter sound - lighter and more acute (more similar to a high whistle or metal classical flute).

The windway taper and the walls surrounding the fipple window focus air more directly onto the blade creating a purer tone.

All MK Whistles come with a fabric case.
